PSY - 217 Research Methods in the Behavioral Sciences

MATH 217.

This course provides an introduction to research methods in the behavioral sciences. Course content includes a description of the various types of research used in the behavioral sciences, threats to the reliability and validity of research, consideration of ethical issues in behavioral science research, strengths and weaknesses of sampling techniques, and a review of the levels of measurement of data analytical techniques. This course also introduces students to the selection and computation of proper statistical tests and interpretation of results. SPSS software will be required and utilized in this course.
